Report an Accident

1 | Cease Operation of Device

Generally, when there is an incident/ accident involving a boiler or pressure vessel, then the device is inoperable. If not, the owner/ user should cease operation of the device.

2 | Report the Accident to the State

An owner/ user must report any accident immediately involving serious physical injury or fatality involving a boiler or pressure vessel. Immediately contact the Acting Chief Boiler Inspector at (865) 310-0894.

3 | Resume Operation after Authorization

The cessation shall remain in force until the State of Tennessee Boiler Unit has performed an inspection on the existing or replacement boiler or pressure vessel.
