Physical Activity

Studies show exercise not only improves physical health; it also helps reduce depression and anxiety. A key way to encourage wellness is to offer employees ways to be active during the workday. This can lead to better health, more productivity and an increased ability to handle stress. A person who has low levels of physical activity can be at risk for many conditions, like Type 2 diabetes, obesity, depression, heart disease and even early death.

Healthy Eating

Making informed decisions and improving nutrition can lead to a reduction in diabetes, high blood pressure, some cancers and obesity. Stress at work can have a negative impact on employees’ health. It can cause some to turn to unhealthy food choices or habits. Employees are much more likely to stick to a healthy diet if their work environment provides healthy eating options.

Many studies show a direct link between productivity levels and the general health and well-being of the workforce. Well-being encompasses many things such as mental health, financial health, emotional health and more. Good employee well-being is associated with many health-, job-, family- and economic-related benefits. We recognize the importance of overall health and encourage activities that promote this.
