Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action (EEO/AA) Program
The mission of the Civil Rights Division is to ensure adherence to Equal Employment Opportunity, Title VI and Small and Disadvantaged Business Initiatives.
The EEO/AA Program facilitates equal opportunities throughout the department by ensuring all employment practices are conducted in a fair manner. This includes implementing and ensuring compliance with federal and state Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies and procedures and Affirmative Action (AA) Plans. As part of its Affirmative Action strategy, the program provides diversity training and seeks to retain and recruit minority and female employees and applicants. Additionally, the EEO/AA Program works to ensure EEO compliance and On-the-Job-Training externally with contractors and consultants.
