Two dozen Tennessee law enforcement officers have become the newest graduates of the TBI State Academy, built as a professional and specialized training ground for public safety professionals who want to expand their education and training in the criminal justice field.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is calling on all 5th graders, from across the state, to participate in 2019 National Missing Children’s Day poster contest!
This weekend, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation will mark the 25th anniversary of its successful ‘Top 10 Most Wanted’ program. Launched on May 5, 1993, the program harnesses the TBI’s relationship with the media and the public to bring attention to dangerous fugitives believed to be in Tennessee, while offering cash rewards for information leading to successful captures.
Today, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation announced 11-year-old Anna McDowell as the winner of the state’s 2018 Missing Children’s Day Poster Contest. Her entry has been submitted to the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) poster contest representing the State of Tennessee in the national competition. Anna is a student at Lakeside Park Elementary in Hendersonville.
The poster contest provides teachers and parents with valuable tools to educate children, as students explore the contest’s theme of ‘Bring Our Missing Children Home.’
