Restricted License Information

Under Tennessee law, individuals may be eligible under certain circumstances for a restricted license. The individual’s privilege to drive cannot be under revocation, suspension, or cancellation for any other reason in Tennessee or any other state. No type restricted license can be issued for a Class A, Class B, or Class C type license or to operate a CMV. If you have never been licensed in Tennessee, you will be required to meet all requirements of a new resident in addition to all other requirements.
