Position Summary:
The Associate Counsel, under direction of the Textbook Commission’s Board of Directors, provides information, data, legal advice, and support for the general counsel and other program areas. Performs work of average difficulty and has considerable knowledge of substantive and procedural law. Provides hands on counsel to all levels of executive staff and assists in protecting an agency's legal interest and maintaining its operations within the scope established by law.
Advises on legal, regulatory, procedural, and/or personnel matters for an assigned department, and assists in the planning and research of special projects.
Reviews, researches, interprets, and prepares both written and oral opinions on a wide variety of legal issues.
Drafts, reviews, and approves policies and procedures, regulations, bylaws, and other legal documents.

Position Summary:
The CTE Program Manager will review and revise Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs of study and course standards for the following career clusters: Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources career clusters. The position works closely with local education agencies (LEAs), industry advisory councils, and state advisors of the appropriate Career and Technical Student
Organizations (CTSOs) to promote and provide seamless college and career pathways for students. The CTE Program Manager will assist and encourage school systems to start Agriculture Education programs with FFA chapters in middle schools, high schools, charter schools, private schools, and homeschool cooperatives and collaborate with the Sr. Director of FFA and FFA staff within the Department of Agriculture to support programs and events, such as the State FFA Conventions, State Fair, and competitive events. They will support the development and revision of the curriculum for student leadership conferences and workshops, including FFA Camp Clements Leadership Training Camp, a state-leased and state-run student program. This position will work collaboratively with the Sr. Director of FFA to provide professional development for agricultural educators through workshops and training events in coordination with the TAAE Summer Conference and State FFA Convention, as well as including one-on-one visits to schools to assist teachers with new skills or best practices that may enhance their program. This position will gather and share data that will serve as benchmarks for tracking program success and will provide valuable insights that will assist educators and program leaders in best meeting student and industry needs.
The CTE Program Manager position aligns to TDOE’s Strategic Priorities in that it ensures all students have access to high-quality Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs, addresses the development of CTE Directors and instructional leaders’ skills and knowledge in providing high- quality programs, and expands districts’ capacity for promoting and providing seamless career pathways for students.
Minimum Qualifications:

Position Summary:

Position Summary:
Math consultants are an integral part of the CORE regional support team concentrating on providing math support across pre-K-12 instruction. This position works with the regional CORE office team to support districts in the region with math content and instruction aligned to Tennessee’s academic standards by partnering with district leaders to diagnose, plan, implement, and monitor change ideas that will lead to academic improvement.
The CORE regional support team focuses on helping districts make changes to three key areas: instruction, assessment, and curriculum. Position Summary: The regional interventionist & special education consultant are responsible for supporting districts in the region with implementation of effective instructional strategies, techniques, and methods grounded in research and focused on improved academic achievement for all students in general and special education environments. The CORE regional support team focuses on helping districts make changes to three key areas: instruction, assessment, and curriculum. BROAD SCOPE OF THE POSITION:
The Tennessee School for the Blind provides educational services to students who are legally blind with and without additional disabilities. The on-campus program, located in Nashville (Donelson) educates students from across the state in a K-12 setting and grants regular high school diplomas to the students that meet the requirements set forth by the State of Tennessee. The outreach program provides services to students being educated in their local school district.
This position reports to the school principal and is responsible for providing standards-based instruction to students who are visually impaired, and who may have other disabilities, on an individual and group basis; instructs in grade level and modified content standards; utilizes Tennessee State Standards and benchmarks in establishing instructional goals; and provides assessments that measure whether students meet standards.
We will consider all appropriate content certified teachers for this position and will allow time for individuals to obtain a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) endorsement.

BROAD SCOPE OF THE POSITION:
The Tennessee School for the Blind provides educational services to students who are legally blind with and without additional disabilities. The on-campus program, located in Nashville (Donelson) educates students from across the state in a K-12 setting and grants regular high school diplomas to the students that meet the requirements set forth by the State of Tennessee. The outreach program provides services to students being educated in their local school district.
This position reports to the school principal and is responsible for providing standards-based instruction to students who are visually impaired, and who may have other disabilities, on an individual and group basis; instructs in grade level and modified content standards; utilizes Tennessee State Standards and benchmarks in establishing instructional goals; and provides assessments that measure whether students meet standards.
We will consider all appropriate content certified teachers for this position and will allow time for individuals to obtain a Teacher of the Visually Impaired endorsement.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Performs work associated with standards-based student instruction: prepares lesson plans, adapts instructional materials, develops input for and presents daily instructional/learning activities based upon the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and under the direction of the Principal, maintains a positive classroom environment utilizing appropriate classroom management, keeps students on task and engaged in learning.
• Demonstrates knowledge/skill in the areas of: data collection, task analysis, progress monitoring, daily living skills, assessment, behavior management, organization / planning, curriculum development, current technology practices relative to students who have vision loss, and parent relations and teamwork.
• Coordinates data collection and reporting.
• Works as part of an education / assessment team responsible for identifying, developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating individual objectives for assigned students.
• Coordinates effectively with other service staff in providing student instruction, strategic planning, and positively contributing to co-curricular activities.
• Positively serves as a team member; and participates in regular team and departmental meetings, school and instructional meetings as required.
• Provides parent consultation; participates in selected parent-focused activities, etc.
• Participates in activities related to professional development and training/workshops as appropriate.
