Caregiving Basics
Approximately 10,000 Baby Boomers reach retirement age every day. Lifespans are increasing, and populations are trending older. More older adults need care than ever before, a complex challenge many families already face and that many more will face in the decades to come.
Caregiving can place a strain on families and relationships, impact careers, drain finances, and even affect the health of caregivers. That said, it can also bring families together, strengthen existing relationships, create new friendships, and demonstrate the benefits of good planning. We all need to know more about caregiving, and this episode of Nashville Public Television's Aging Matters, "Caregiving," is a good place to start.
