Captain Wesley Stafford
Captain Wesley Stafford began his career in law enforcement in 1997 with the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Department where he served in numerous roles. Captain Stafford remained with Cheatham County until joining the Tennessee Highway Patrol in 2005. In 2005 Captain Stafford received his first assignment as a road Trooper in the Nashville District. Captain Stafford remained in Nashville District until he went on to become a member of the Tennessee Highway Patrol Training Division, in 2011. Captain Stafford was promoted to Sergeant in 2013 and later to Lieutenant in 2017. In 2013 Captain Stafford graduated from the Northwestern School of Police Staff and Command Class #344. Once promoted to Lieutenant, Captain Stafford served in the role of Assistant Director of Training; he served in this capacity until his promotion in June of 2018 to the rank of Captain – Director of Training for the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Captain Stafford oversees all training for the department as well as training that is offered to outside agencies. Captain Stafford holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Bethel University.
